2008-9 Local Officers Elected and Major Event Scheduled

The JNF Council of Palm Springs and Desert Area re-elected Robert “Bob” Fey as its Chairman. Joining him is Evelyn Binsky, elected Vice Chairwoman. Newly appointed members to the Council are Sheri Borax, Burton Kaplan, and Barbara Platt. Continuing members are Martin “Marty” Cohn, Dr. Isaac Eliachar, Dr. Burton Fogelman, Allan Nyman, Rick Stein and Dr. Milton “Mickey” Willen.

Bob Fey urged Council members to “be creative, plan exciting events and activities, support one another and work to make the community more aware of the JNF and its important role in Israel, particularly in the Negev.”

He also announced that Marty Cohn had agreed to Chair the 2008 JNF “For the Love of Israel” Annual Dinner, which will be held on Tuesday December 2, 2008, at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa.
