Advisory Council Meets
The Advisory Council of Women’s
Division, comprised of Past Presidents
of our local Women’s Division and
present and past members of the National
Board of Women’s Philanthropy, met on
April 2, 2008, at the home of Barbara
Platt. In attendance were seven local
Women’s Division Past Presidents: Carol
Fragen, Peggy Greenbaum, Ilse Jamin, Fay
Katlin, Fran Kaufman, Annette Novack and
Barbara Platt; seven NBWP members:
Judith Cohen (Atlanta), Cora Ginsberg
(Palm Springs), Sondi Green (Vancouver),
Margot Halperin (Detroit), Nora Kaufman
(Winnipeg), Barbara Platt (Palm Springs)
and Lois Zoller (Chicago); joined by
five members of the incoming
Women’s Division Executive Board: Celia
Norian, President, Marcia Stein,
President-Elect, and Vice Presidents
Cora Ginsberg (Endowment), Sandy
Samdperil (Outreach) and Stephanie Ross
(Education).
Successful programs relating to donor
cultivation, outreach and education were
shared at the meeting. As Women’s
Division President Celia Norian noted,
“We have not fully utilized the talents
of these leaders in the past. We are
planning to take advantage of the
experience that these women bring with
them in the coming year.”
